This is a quick word of warning to my Fellow Scots regarding the recent Brexit vote. It may be of some interest to bystanders who are unaffected (?). I voted Yes and Remain. To the No voters who voted Remain, this is how it feels to have brexit on your chin.
Scotland needs to think positively now more than ever. It is easy to blame other people, to be angry at them. But lets not allow ourselves to become them. I personally feel beaten up by the result, very low. And it would be easy to become vitriolic, however don’t lets regress to hate. We’ve just tasted double democracy and now its too much and we feel sick.
Instead, lets use this decision, their decision, to make our future better.
With this step backwards, we’re being shown the path forwards.
An independent Scotland, when it comes, must have a just and fair media. No conglomerates. Real punishment for mistruth and misdirection.
An independent Scotland should be proportionally represented. Each vote counts. Whether we like it or not.
The takeaway message is to continue to fight for real equality.
We have been shafted by the other. In our show of democracy we voted against xenophobia so lets not have the result change our mind, rise above. This was democracy after all. Don’t make throw away comments which echo the worst part of the Leave campaign.Things are bad enough as it is.
The UK has woken up to a bitterly divided country. A parliament which doesn’t function. And in all probability it will soon be led by a leader it didn’t elect. They should have voted to Remain and saved themselves the hassle of mimicry. I may have just described the EU.
Anyway, this ramble is going nowhere, just remember, not all English people are scumbags.
But they are all losers.
Get it right up ye! Mon the Iceland!
