Epiphany #1
This moment of sheer genius came as I put on my ear protectors for another afternoon of sanding – an apprentice carpenters bread and butter. The crevice between my ear and ear protector would indeed fit my old headphones. This is possibly elementary for a fully fledged ear protector wearer, however I am but an apprentice. This means music as I sand wood endlessly, which much more rock and roll and led to epiphany #2.
Epiphany #2
Though I am not living my own very realistic, (and in no way rooted in boyhood disappointment) dream. I am am living someones.
I am sure quite sure there hundreds of amateur carpenters who would love to be able to go pro. Perhaps some are premiership footballers and play for Manchester Utd. Perhaps we could swap.
Anyway, being able to rock out (pardon the Dad language) whilst using power tools must be someones dream and I should confess that I am quite enjoying it.
A note on solo Mushroom picking
When picking mushrooms alone, one has to be quite certain that they are picking the correct mushrooms, unfortunately this means one does not feel confident enough to pick any mushrooms. It seems that a Collins field guide is not the only prerequisite, friends also come in handy. Perhaps I shall buy a punnet of portabellos and go on skype next time or I could just get a few tabs of acid and a hooker and save my self the trouble.
